Why am I joining Hope on the Horizon?
This summer, I have the incredible opportunity to join Hope on the Horizon, a missionary program that I truly believe is an answer to a call God has been gently placing on my heart.

Over the years, I have come to realize that those who often need love the most are the ones who feel forgotten, unseen, or alone. Having experienced that feeling myself, I feel called to remind them that they are deeply loved, forgiven, and cherished by God.

As St. Teresa of Avila once wrote:

"Christ has no body now but ours, no hands, no feet on earth but ours. Ours are the eyes through which He looks with compassion upon the world; ours are the feet with which He walks to do good; ours are the hands with which He blesses all the world."

Through us, Christ continues to reach those who are suffering with His love. That is the mission I hope to embrace this summer: to be present, to listen with an open heart, to love without reserve, and to let Jesus work through me.

Hope on the Horizon unites prayer and missionary outreach in a beautiful way. Through daily prayer, the Eucharist, and encounters with people on the streets, I hope to grow in faith while learning to recognize Christ both in the Blessed Sacrament and in every person I meet.

I would be deeply grateful for your prayers as I prepare for this mission. If you feel called to support me financially, your generosity will help make this opportunity possible. Every contribution will directly support this week of formation, prayer, and missionary outreach.
More about me!
I was born in Burundi and come from a family of seven. I am currently studying Biomedical Science as an international student at the University of Ottawa, with the hope of pursuing medical school in the future.

St. Teresa of Avila is my saint for this year.
I love spending time before Jesus in the Eucharist, meeting new people and listening to their stories. Reading and singing have always been my go-to activities. I look forward to discovering Christ through the people I will meet this summer.

Thank you so much for your prayers, encouragement, and support.
