Jaime Dominguez

My name is Jaime, and I will be participating in Sleep Out 2026 on March 6th and 7th, supporting those living on the streets.

 

Because of my schooling in the Salesian Community, founded by Don Bosco, who was very dedicated to helping the poor and needy, especially young people, this feeling of helping those in need, regardless of their race, country, or creed, has been a part of my life ever since.

 

Coincidentally, after sending the previous message to my children, my siblings, and some friends, I stumbled across the Sleep Out event, so I signed up immediately.

 

By participating, I have made a dual purpose: first, to reciprocate and thank God for all the blessings and everything He has given me throughout my life; and second, to show solidarity by reaching out and sharing with the most needy and vulnerable, hoping that in doing so, I will draw closer to God.

 

Of course, it's also a way to share my faith and closeness to God by sharing stories and experiences from my religion and faith.

 

By spending a few hours a night with those most in need, I also hope to convey affection, love, and human warmth, and make them feel they are not alone in this world.
