My name is Helena and I will be volunteering at the Sleep Out as part of the overnight team providing security, patrolling throughout the night for the participants as they stay outside in solidarity for the marginalized and homeless.

 

My first encounter with Catholic Street Missionaries was deeply joyful and felt like a calling I had been preparing for. Meeting people on the streets and listening to their stories—whether marked by sorrow or hope—has shown me our shared desire to be seen, loved, and valued as children of God.
