About the Program
What is Hope on the Horizon?
Hope on the Horizon is a street missionary outreach program designed to introduce young people to the life of a street missionary, sharing a life of prayer and service with others who go out into the streets bringing the love of Jesus to the homeless in downtown Vancouver.
What can I expect during the program?
Participants will live a communal life, praying, learning, and reaching out to our homeless friends on the streets. In addition, there will be street outreach training, faith formation and personal skills development. We will also enjoy recreational activities together.
Food and accommodation will be provided.

Where: We focus our outreach efforts in downtown Vancouver. The Hope on the Horizon program also offers additional recreational activities allowing participants to explore Greater Vancouver and the Lower Mainland!
Application Process & Details
Who can apply?
Young adults 19 - 35 who would like to serve Jesus in the poor. No experience is required. Training is provided. We welcome local and international applicants.

We firmly believe that every person who feels called to this program, regardless of financial situation or where they are from, should have the opportunity to participate as a street missionary.

Application Process
Because of the unique nature of this program, applicants will be interviewed and asked to supply two character references.​
