Why am I joining Hope on the Horizon?

I am joining Hope on the Horizon to grow in my faith with the Lord and pursue something out of my comfort zone that can help others. I have seen the impacts that drug and alcohol abuse can have on people, and I am aware that I am doing the homeless population a disservice by not introducing them to Jesus. I want to make a change that will impact my local community positively, and I am willing to take the steps in reaching my goals I've set out for servicing the Lord's kingdom. I am certain I want to share the good news of the Lord with the homeless population on the Downtown East Side. Whether they know it or not, they too are Jesus' sons and daughters, and all it takes is one helpful hand in leading them to God's glorious kingdom.

I became Christian in 2022 after having a personal experience where I called out to the Lord. Ever since then, I have personally been metamorphosed into a new man through God's doing. I am fervent in helping the Lord and spreading His good news, and I feel blessed living somewhere with opportunities such as Hope on the Horizon where I can perform my duties for the Lord that I have set out to do.
